This Christmas table centre design has been made in a round polished aluminium bowl, with floral foam inside a plastic container for the mechanics. Always use a plastic container for your floral foam inside polished aluminium containers as water directly in the container will spoil it. I began with three silver candles which were supported in the foam by wire legs taped to the ends of the candles. Next, I established the shape (an all round posy) with foliage of holly and ivy. I also added several pieces of artificial silver spruce to give the design a festive feel! I then added the main flowers, which were white roses, white standard carnations and white spray carnations, with Gypsophila for filling in, and pale green spray Chrysanthemums for recession and to give a slight edge to the colour scheme. Finally, I've added some small silver baubles at regular intervals which have been fixed to the design with wires. |
