This design has been made in a round silver dish, with floral foam for the mechanics. The foam has been shaved around the edges to take the corners off. I began by wrapping some white sisal round the foam to help cover the mechanics. Then I pinned on layers of Eleagnus pungens leaves, curling them into cone shapes with the silvery underside of the leaves outermost. I left a space in the centre for a silver lantern, which holds a tea light. I then added a selection of silver and crystal Christmas twigs all round the design. Finally, I added some glass nuggets to pick up the crystal twigs, and some silver angel hair.
