This colourful design could be used not only at Christmas, but for other celebrations such as a party or Guy Fawkes Night. It is made in a rounded black pottery container, which has a very narrow oval neck. Dri-foam has been used to support the materials. Gold curled vine has been used for the height, and some purple curly ting-ting echoes the shape of this. Two tall woven wicker stems are used in the centre, and these have had silver sequins stuck to them to add sparkle. One gold and one purple wicker balls form the focal point, and these too have had sequins stuck on to them. (See detailed pictures below.) On the left, two purple twisted cones have been used to give a change of form. Some black glycerined Laurel leaves grouped on the right echo the colour of the container. To cover the mechanics, I have scrunched up some multicoloured tissue paper, and wound this through the design, and along the front, to give some added bright colour. |
