The picture shows a large pedestal design, made for a presentation ceremony in a Town Hall. It was one of two identical ones. The arrangement stands on a gold wooden plinth. The mechanics are dri-foam in a plastic bowl. A large gold wicker pyramid was first fixed firmly to the foam using wire pins. The flowers and foliage were arranged in and around this. All the materials were artificial, and include Ginger lilies (arranged inside the pyramid), Poinsettias, Cymbidium orchids, Hedera (Ivy) trails, green berries and Red Roses. Some gold painted dried fan palm, wicker balls and wicker lanterns were also included to help add a festive feel. A gold bow of wire-edged ribbon with long tails finishes the design at the front. |
