FUCHSIA 'SUNRAY'
Common Name: None
Family: Onagraceae

This is one of my favourite Fuchsias, because of its lovely foliage, which is variegated green, white and pink. It is hardy in my garden, and comes up each spring from the base, after I have cut back the old wood. I leave this on until spring for added protection. The flowers are pretty, but are not produced until very late in the season, and are the typical small pink and violet colour. However, this Fuchsia is grown mainly for its foliage and lovely pink stems. Pieces cut for flower arranging can be rooted afterwards quite easily, and will often root into the floral foam!
