This is an evergreen shrub or small tree, growing to around 5 metres tall if not pruned. It is hardy down to around -5°C, and needs full sun or half shade. Its leaves are a beautiful deep red when young. These leaves should be used in arrangements when semi-mature, as new growth does not condition well, and will wilt quickly in floral foam.
