Looking for some foliage to grow to use in flower arranging? Most people can get flowers for their arrangements from the Florist if they don't grow their own, but it's difficult to get a good supply of foliage. Florists only have a limited range of foliage - it wouldn't make economic sense to carry a vast range. These are my recommendations - and they are also great to grow in the garden for form and colour, even if you're not a flower arranger! These are foliages which grow well in my garden the UK. I can't say how well - or even if - they will grow elsewhere in the UK or the rest of the world. New suggestions are being added regularly. Some of the pictures are not yet available, but as soon as I have them, I'll be adding them. In the meantime, any good gardening encyclopaedia should have pictures and cultural details of all the plants I have suggested. Click on the links to see the plant descriptions. |
