For this all-round Easter design I have used a tall glass vase, filled with glass nuggets. A clear dish sits in the neck of the vase, with floral foam for the mechanics. I've hidden the floral foam with some dark and light green sisal. At the base of the design, I've grouped the foliages of Fatsia japonica 'Aurea', Fatshedera lizei, and Hedera colchica 'Sulphur Heart'. For height, I've used the tall linear foliage of Phormium tenax variegata and Phormium tenax purpureum. I then arranged three stems of Lilium longiflorum, the Easter lily, between the Phormium leaves. I've wrapped one of the Phormium leaves around the design to give a different effect. For rhythm and interest, I've added some stems of Corylus avellana 'Contorta'. To finish off, I've used some lime green flowers of Chrysanthemum 'Kermit', cut short, and a collar of lime green sisal, pinned on with green pearl-headed pins. |
