This design has been made using the traditional colours for Easter, which are gold and white. I have used a gold vase, with floral foam for the mechanics. A collar of Bay leaves (Laurus nobilis) has been added at the base of the design, and from this, three Calla lilies (Zantedeschia) spring up, and these have been wound around with gold wired stems. Some more gold wired stems are wound throughout the collar of Bay leaves. A ring of Madonna lilies (Lilium longiflorum) encircle the Calla lilies. The crown of thorns is represented by stems of Colletia cruciata. The Calla and Madonna lilies and the gold materials were from the Florist, and the foliage was from the garden. |
