This design incorporates fresh and artificial fruit. I have used a fresh Pineapple, with Clementines at the back, which have been threaded onto a long barbecue stick to create a different element of the design (see closeup below). Two red apples have been added at the front, with two bunches of artificial grapes (red and green) which hang over the front of the design. All the fresh fruit has been secured into the floral foam using barbecue sticks, whilst the artificial grapes have been wired into position. Flowers used are terracotta Roses, lime-green Chrysanthemums and red Carnations, with Hosta, Heuchera 'Cascade Dawn', and a couple of trails of Vinca minor at the front. I have also used some yellow Hedera helix 'Buttercup' foliage, but this can't be seen in the picture. The whole design has been caged with gold bullion wire, which picks up the gold colour in the container (see detail, below).
