Spring flowers are so lovely! Here, I've used a mixture of colours, utilising a variety of flowers which are available in spring, either in the garden or from the florist. I've used a galvanised jug, with crumpled green chicken wire inside for the mechanics. Many spring flowers don't like floral foam, and will last much longer in water. The flowers used are Anemone coronaria (purple, red and violet), Narcissus, yellow Tulips, purple Helleborus orientalis, Kerria japonica flore-plena, Forsythia intermedia, and Corylus avellana 'Contorta' (Contorted Hazel). A small amount of foliage was also used, this being Hedera 'Sulphur Heart', Hedera colchica dentata 'Variegata', and pink-tinged Hebe 'Silver Dollar'. |
