FLORAL DESIGNS
divider

This design uses a plain gold cylindrical container, with floral foam for the mechanics. Some Actinidia chinensis (Kiwi Fruit) vines have been wound around the foam to form a wreath. I have used three Cyperus alternifolius (Umbrella Plant) leaves for the height. Galax leaves have been used, and some of these have been rolled and wired to give a different form (see detailed picture below). Other foliage used was Heuchera Two groups of "Mango" Zantedeschia (Calla Lily) have been used, and a group "Leonidas" Roses on either side of the arrangement. A central group of Echinacea purpurea (Cone Flower) centres (the petals have been taken off, leaving the dark brown centres with bright orange pollen) were also used to give some added form and texture to the design. Three stems of Dracaena have been used horizontally across the arrangement to give an added dimension. Some gold wired stems were looped around the arrangement to bring in a touch of gold to match the container. Finally, another stem of Actinidia chinensis was bent in an arc across the arrangement to give extra interest. The reverse side of the arrangement can be seen below.
