This design uses a gold and silver wooden candlestick as the container. A plastic saucer has been taped on to hold the floral foam. It is basically a symmetrical triangle shape, although done with a more modern feel. I have used three Cyperus alternifolius (Umbrella Plant) leaves for the height, with two Dracaena stems to the left. Other foliage used was Fatsia japonica (False Castor Oil Plant), Fern (unknown variety), and Hedera "Sulphur Heart". Flowers used were "Mango" Zantedeschia (Calla Lily), peach standard Carnations, and "Leonidas" Roses. Some Echinacea purpurea (Cone Flower) centres (the petals have been taken off, leaving the dark brown centres with bright orange pollen) were also used to give some added form and texture to the design. A couple of stems of gold painted twisted vine were added for rythm and to pick out the gold in the container. |
