This design was a table arrangement which I made, one of 15 identical ones for a friend's best friend's daughter's wedding! (Are you with me so far?!) A group of members (including myself) of the Bromsgrove and District Flower Arranging Society got together to make the other table arrangements, and a good time was had by all!
It was made in a terracotta bowl, with a plastic plant saucer inserted inside to hold floral foam. A round church candle was placed into position centrally first, then the other materials arranged around it. (The reverse side of the arrangement is shown below.) Plant materials used were 'Leonidas' Roses, 'Kermit' Chrysanthemums, 'Madame Pompadour' Dendrobiums (Singapore Orchids), 'Mango' Zantedeschias (Calla Lilies), orange Euphorbia fulgens, deep pink mini Gerberas, orange Lilies, Xerophyllum tenax (Bear Grass), Asparagus umbellatus (Ming fern), Laurel leaves, and Fatshedera lizei leaves. To finish the design, some gold wicker balls and some gold and green ting-ting were added to give a bit of sparkle.
This picture shows the arrangement from the other side. |
