DESIGN 63

For this design, I have used a piece of white coral as a container. (I have had this coral for a long time, and I would certainly not buy it these days, to preserve the environment.) A small piece of dri-foam was glued into position for the mechanics. The design consists of all dried and preserved plant materials. For the height, I have used two dried Strelitzia (Bird of Paradise) leaves, which have been sprayed white. On the left hand side at the base, some bleached Ficus religiosa (Bo Tree) leaves have been used. A group of pink Rhodanthe and pink Limonium sinuatum (syn. Statice limonium) flowers form the focal area in the centre, and other materials used are white Delphinium ajacis (Larkspur), bleached leaves (variety not known), green grass, and for a contrast of form, some stems of contorted Hazel, Corylus avellana 'Contorta'.
