For this design, I have used a simple lime-green vase, with floral foam for the mechanics. Two lime-green candles form the height of the arrangement, and all the other materials are kept quite low. The only flowers used are peach Carnations, with the foliage used being Hedera colchica 'Sulphur Heart', Rubus tricolour, Hedera helix 'Buttercup' which has been rolled and wired into small bundles, and Leymus arenarius, a grey-green grass, which has been plaited to form loops (see detail below), and also allowed to drape downwards to frame the vase. The Carnations were from the florist, and all the foliage was from the garden. |
