Spring flowers are so lovely and colourful! I've used a galvanized jug for the container, with floral foam for the mechanics. The red stems of Acer palmatum 'Senkaki', just breaking into leaf, have been used to give height, and a multicoloured mixture of spring flowers have been grouped throughout the design. These are purple Dutch Iris, purple Anemone coronaria, red Anemone coronaria, deep pink Anemone coronaria, yellow Tulips, pale creamy yellow Narcissi (Daffodils), and lime green Euphorbia robbiae. A bow of hemp string completes the design. Foliage used is Hedera (Ivy), Mahonia aquifolium, and Euphorbia robbiae. All the foliage, the Euphorbia robbiae, and the Acer pamatum 'Senkaki' were from the garden, and the flowers were from the Florist. |
