(Beginners Class, 17.11.09)

This design has been made in a square green plastic container, with floral foam for the mechanics. I've added some foliage in groups; Hedera colchica 'Sulphur Heart' and Hedera canariensis, Fatshedera lizei variegata, Erica arborea, and Rhododendron ponticum. I've then added three pink candles of varying heights, using wire legs taped on to the candle to secure them into the foam. Three pale pink Gerbera add height (making sure they are not too close to the candle flame!), with a group of three deep pink Carnations at the front left and three short stems of pale pink Phlox paniculata on the right. Finally, a decorative cabbage makes an interesting focal point.
