This design is a very slim triangle, known as a vertical design. It's been made in a round plastic dish with floral foam for the mechanics. I've established the height with some Phormium tenax purpurea, and the width with some Fatshedera lizei 'Pia' foliage. Some buxus sempervivum and conifer fill out the design and add a different texture. Five large pink roses are the focal flowers, with the largest, most open flower being used at the base of the design, and graduating in size to the smallest at the top. The rest of the design has been filled in with some two-tone pink spray carnations, and some Hedera helix (Ivy) flowers have been added to give interest and a change of texture. A vertical design should not be very much wider than the container, so pay careful attention to the width of the design.
