(Beginners/Intermediate Class on 10.3.09)

This arrangement is made in a tall metal container, decorated with swirls of cane, with floral foam for the mechanics. Foliage used includes Hedera colchica 'Sulphur Heart', Hedera colchica 'Gloire de Marengo', Hedera helix 'Congesta', Buxus sempervirens, Nandina domestica and Fatsia japonica 'Aurea'. I've used all spring flowers for the design, including Corylus avellana 'Contorta' (contorted Hazel) for the height, pink Hyacinths, mauve Tulips, yellow Jonquils and yellow Ranunculus. Some lime green sisal has been made into two circles and pinned on at the front to give added texture and colour.
