This front-facing asymmetrical design has been made in a round glass dish. I have used Oasis® Rainbow Foam™ for the mechanics. Rainbow foam is a type of coloured foam which can be used soaked for fresh flowers or dry for dried or artificial flowers. It is meant to be seen, and forms part of the design. I've used half a block of deep pink foam for the main mechanics, and a mixture of deep pink, lilac and lime green Rainbow foam cubes around the central block of foam. Some lime green cubes were fixed to the foam with Oasis Hat Pins. The flowers were grouped, and I've used Hyacinths, Singapore Orchids and 'Prado' Carnations. The small amount of foliage used was Hedera colchica, and Fatsia japonica 'Aurea'. Height is established with a Phormium tenax 'Maori Queen' leaf, with another Phormium leaf split into two and looped through the larger leaf.
