This design uses no floral foam at all. The design is made in a glass container, with glass nuggets in the bottom. Some attractive mossy twigs have been laid so that some are inside the container, whilst others are criss-crossed over the top of the container and form part of the design. A few extra twigs of the contorted Hazel, Corylus avellana 'Contorta', have been used to add rhythm and a change of form. These twigs form a grid that supports the flowers which are arranged evenly around the design, and threaded through the twigs so that their stems are in water. The flowers used are pink spray roses, and Skimmia confusa 'Kew Green'. The only foliage used is that attached to the Skimmia stems.
