This contemporary horizontal arrangement has been made in a ceramic grey pot, with floral foam for the mechanics. The floral foam should be about 5 or 6 inches above the rim of the container. All the plant materials should be arranged horizontally to achieve the correct effect. I began by adding some Phormium tenax variegata on both sides of the design. Then I built up the design with Aspidistra leaves which were curled and fixed with Oasis Fix. Pieces of Eucalyptus bark were then pinned into position horizontally. Some Fatshedera lizei foliage was added, also some Arum italicum marmoratum. Finally, groups of white Gerberas and white Carnations were added, with some silver grey Eryngiums. To give a change of texture and to balance the colours, I've also added some white sisal spheres.
