This contemporary grouped arrangement has been made in a green square rigid plastic carrier bag with lime green rope handles. Inside the bag is a 7/8ths block of floral foam in a plastic square container. The foam should be around 2" higher than the rim of the bag, to allow for cascading materials. The design has been kept low and tightly grouped, with materials flowing over the sides of the bag. The foliage used is Eucalyptus, Fatsia japonica aurea, and Hedera colchica 'Sulphur Heart'. The flowers used were deep red roses, pale green 'Prado' Carnations, trailing deep pink Amaranthus caudatus (Love Lies Bleeding), Papaver somniferum (poppy) seed pods, Setaria (grass) seed heads and Alchemilla mollis. Each group of plant material has been repeated on the opposite side of the design for visual balance, with the group of red roses in the centre as the focal area. The handles of the bag have been looped around the arrangement as a design feature, but you could leave them loose, or use them to hang the arrangement.
