For this design, I have used no floral foam, only twigs for the mechanics. I've used a low pottery dish, and I've cut lengths of Hazel twigs which I've wound round and round inside the dish. Some shorter lengths have been criss-crossed inside, and fixed in between the round twigs to support them and keep them in position, producing a slightly domed shape. The design is very simple, consisting of three blue Hyacinths arranged upright in the centre, and surrounded by white roses which have been wrapped in an ivy leaf and bound with silver bullion wire. More bullion wire has been wound around the design to give added interest.
