This design has been made in a tall gold round vase, with floral foam for the mechanics. It is a traditional geometric diagonal design. I have established the shape with Mahonia japonica foliage, which has been sprayed gold, to match the container. Some large Ivy leaves have also been sprayed gold. Two sprays of singapore orchids follow the line of the Mahonia to strengthen the shape, together with some dark green Hedera helix trails. I've also used some light green foliage of Aucuba japonica (Spotted Laurel) to add a lighter colour. For the focal flowers, I've used pink Roses, arranged diagonally to follow the line. I then added some individual flowers of spray Carnations, and finally some Ivy berries for added interest and a change of colour and texture. |
