This design has been made in a lime green round vase, with floral foam for the mechanics. It is a traditional symmetrical triangle design. The height should be between 1½ and twice the height of the container. I have established the shape with linear foliage of Phormium tenax purpureum, Lonicera 'Lemon Beauty'. Cotoneaster, and Ivy trails. I then added some more solid shaped leaves of Hedera colchica 'Sulphur Heart', Fatshedera lizei and Mahonia japonica. I then added several stems of spray Carnations, and three stems of Singapore Orchids. For the focal flowers, I've used pink Roses. Finally, I've used a stem of lime green spray Chrysanthemums (cut into individual florets) for recession, and some Ivy berries for added interest and a change of colour and texture. |
