This design has been made in a shallow glass dish, with floral foam for the mechanics. I began by adding a collar of deep pink sisal around the oasis, then making a construction of deep pink decorative aluminium wire to sit over the top. Groups of Fatshedera lizei, Cordyline, and Hedera colchica 'Sulphur Heart' have been added around the edge, whilst across the centre, a line of rolled and stapled Laurel leaves gives a textural effect. The flowers used have been grouped, and these are Singapore Orchids, Roses, Carnations and Eryngium. Finally, some more decorative aluminium wire has been added in pieces which have been spiralled on the ends, and a light veiling of pink sisal has been layered over the top of the design. |
