This design has been made in a glass cylindrical vase, with a plastic container in the top and floral foam for the mechanics. The vase has been filled with balls of orange sisal interspersed with glass nuggets of varying shapes and sizes. The arrangement itself is in autumnal colours, and I've used two Phormium tenax purpurea leaves for the height, with some Berberis thunbergii atropurpurea on the right to repeat the colouring, but give a change of shape and texture. On the right at the base of the design, I've used two leaves of Vitis coignetiae showing fiery red autumn colouring, and opposite these on the left I've used two large Hedera colchica 'Sulphur Heart' leaves. In the centre I've layered some Hedera colchica variegata leaves, and some Heuchera 'Mocha' foliage. Upright on the left are some stems of Hedera helix 'Congesta'. The flowers used are five red/orange roses, three deep yellow Gerberas, and three pale apricot standard Carnations. A group of lime green spray Chrysanthemums adds life to the design, whilst a diagonal swirl of Bear grass adds rhythm.
