Design 298

This asymmetrical all-foliage design has been made in a dark brown ceramic bowl, with floral foam for the mechanics. A variety of foliages of different shapes, textures and colours have been chosen to give colour and interest to this design, where no flowers have been used. Two Phormium tenax purpureum leaves form the height, other foliages used are (from the top, around the edge, clockwise), Correa alba, Stephanandra tanakae (showing sutumn colouring), Cordyline 'Purple Fountain', Stephanandra again, Lavatera arborea variegata, red autumn coloured Cercis canadensis 'Forest Pansy', Hosta, Hedera helix 'Buttercup', Cotinus coggygria 'Royal Purple', Fatsia japonica variegata, Diosma 'Pink Fountain', Cordyline australis 'Pink Stripe', Hedera helix 'Buttercup', Stephanandra tanakae (showing sutumn colouring), and in front of the upright Phormium, Euonymus 'Silver Queen'. In the centre, rolled and grouped Hedera helix 'Buttercup' leaves form a focal point, with a ribbon of woven Phormium tenax variegata across the design for added interest.
