FLORAL DESIGNS

Design 296

This contemporary all-round table centre design has been made in a wicker basket, with a metal container inside and floral foam for the mechanics. I've used some orange coloured sisal to cover the foam around the outside to add interest and texture and to help hide the mechanics. I've used two groups of foliage, Fatsia japonica aurea, which I've clipped into shape, and Hedera colchica 'Gloire de Marengo'. Flowers used are pale green 'Prado' Carnations, and orange/red Roses, both of which have been grouped for more impact. For added interest, I've used two groups of three scented wicker balls. Each grouping of flowers and foliage is duplicated on the other side, giving visual balance to the design. I've also added a few balls of orange sisal to repeat the colour and texture of the sisal used in the rest of the design.
