For this design I've used a tall glass container. I have used Oasis® Rainbow™ Foam for the mechanics. I've filled the vase with Fuchsia, Lilac and Lime Green cubes, with a piece of Lilac foam at the top. I've used yellow-green stems of Cornus stolonifera 'Flaviramea' in the centre for height, with deep pink Gerberas grouped on the right, and deep pink and green standard Carnations grouped on the left. At the base I've used Hedera colchica 'Sulphur Heart', and Fatsia japonica 'Aurea' foliage. On the left I've plaited some Bear Grass and looped it to form enclosed space and add interest. I've also threaded some halved cubes in two's onto some individual pieces of Bear grass, one piece of which is looped to repeat the loop of plaited Brear Grass, whilst two more pieces cascade down at the side. The halved cubes are left dry to prevent too much weight on the Bear Grass which would not achieve the desired effect. |
