This design would be suitable for decoration in a kitchen. I've made it using a set of iron scales, with floral foam in the scoop for mechanics. Weights on the other side counterbalance the scales. The design is an asymmetrical triangle, and I've used the foliage of Leucodendron for height, with Buxus sempervirens, Nandina domestica, Hedera colchica 'Sulphur Heart' and Hedera helix 'Buttercup'. I've used yellow roses for the focal flowers, with yellow spray carnations. On the left, a group of Okra pods give interest and a change of form to the design, whilst on the right, a lemon sliced into three and fixed onto barbecue sticks also adds interest and repetition of the colour of the flowers. Two small whole lemons at the base of the scales draw the eye downwards and repeat the colour of the flowers. |
