This is a basket arangement made in a traditional style. The basket is lined inside with plastic to make it waterproof, and I've used floral foam for the mechanics. I have bound the handle with lime green paper ribbon, to add a bit of style and interest to it. The outline of design has been defined with linear foliage, in this case, Buxus sempervirens (Box). Other foliage has been added to define the shape, this being Fatsia japonica 'Aurea', Aucuba japonica and Eucalyptus. Next, I have added 6 stems of pale green 'Prado' carnations for the focal flowers. Then 9 deep pink roses have been added. Some lime-green spray Chrysanthemums have been used for recession, and to lift the design and bring out the colour of the handle. Finally, I've added some lovely green Hedera (Ivy) berries to add interest and texture to the design.
