This design was for a competition "A Visit to Outer Space". The backboard was made from black mount card, and this was lightly sprayed with silver, to depict the Milky Way. A "moon" was made from a circle of card, sprayed silver, and stuck on to the backboard, slightly raised, to give depth. Two dried Strelitzia regina (Bird of Paradise) leaves were sprayed silver, and a the curly piece of willow on the right of the arrangement had a dried Allium seed head attached, and was also sprayed silver. The mechanics were a pinholder, which was covered with some some small pieces of white rock, which were pitted, and reminded me of the surface of the Moon. A black octagonal base repeats the colour of the backboard.
