This is a traditional symmetrical triangle, and is made in a plastic dish with floral foam for the mechanics. The design should look the same on both sides, left and right, and should be triangular in profile as well as front facing. I have defined the outline with linear foliage. For the height, I've used Cordyline australis 'Coffee Cream', and other foliage used is Lonicera nitida 'Lemon Beauty'. I've further defined the shape with broader foliage of Fatsia japonica 'Aurea' and Aucuba japonica, with Heuchera 'Purple Mountain Majesty' in the centre to give depth to the design. The focal flowers are deep pink Roses, with pale pink spray Carnations as secondary flowers, and Waxflower (Chamelaucium uncinium) for fillers. Recession is achieved with small green spray Chrysanthemums. Two stems of Leycesteria formosa flowers add interest and a change of form to the design. |
