Design 252

This is a miniature design, which means that for competition purposes (under NAFAS rules) it should not exceed 10 cms (approximately 4 inches) in width, depth and height. (This measurement does not apply to the diagonal dimensions.) Scale is particularly important in this type of design, and it should appear as though it was a large arrangement in miniature. This is quite difficult to achieve, and very small flowers and foliage must be used. For my design, I've used a perfume bottle top for the container, with floral foam for the mechanics. For the height, I've used a small piece of Corylus avellana 'Contorta' , with Heuchera flowers and a Salix flower. Diosma 'Pink Fountain' is used for the main flowers. Foliage used is small Hedera leaves and conifer. Some lime green bullion wire has been curled and looped across the design to add interest.
