For this design using spring flowers, I've used a galvanized jug, with floral foam for the mechanics. Some green stems of Cornus flaviramea give height, and I've also used the foliage of Hedera colchica 'Sulphur Heart', Hedera helix, Hedera helix 'Buttercup', Fatsia japonica aurea and Skimmia japonica. I've grouped the flowers so that they make more of an impact, and the flowers I've used are yellow Jonquills, yellow Tulips, Caltha palustris (King Cups or Marsh Marigold), pink Freesias, deep maroon Helleborus orientalis, green Tellima grandiflora, and pale pink Skimmia japonica 'Rubella'.
