I love using spring flowers, and for this design I've chosen a dark blue ceramic dish, and cut pieces of floral foam to make a ring around the edge of the container. In the centre I've used some blue ceramic balls to give interest and add texture, as well as repeating the blue of some of the flowers used. I've used the foliage of Hedera colchica 'Sulphur Heart', Hedera helix, Hedera helix variegata, Fatsia japonica aurea and Skimmia japonica, and covered the inside edge of the foam with green reindeer moss. I've grouped the flowers so that they make more of an impact. The flowers I've used are deep blue Muscari armeniacum, lighter blue Muscari 'Atlantic', pale blue Muscari 'Valerie Finnis', pale blue Ipheon, white Narcissus 'Cream Beauty', white double Tulips, white Freesias, white Leucojum aestivum, green Tellima grandiflora, and white Skimmia japonica. | |
