This design is a contemporary table arrangement, and is very easy to make. I've used a glass container, and a floral foam sphere. I began by cutting off a slice of the sphere, so that it sits flat. I then used 16 deep red Carnations to cover the upper half of the sphere, with the lower half being covered with lime-green sisal. I've placed it on a square of foam so that the top comes above the container. This then sits in the centre of the glass container. I've then added some more lime-green sisal inside the container, around the sphere, and then sprinkled a few red and clear glass nuggets around, to add accent, and to pick up the red of the Carnations, and repeat the glass of the container (see closeup picture below right). Finally, I've added some stems of green Cornus flaviramea, radiating out from the sphere, with some stems crossing to form a random grid (see picture below left for an overhead view). |
