This arrangement has been made in a small trough, using floral foam. All the different types of plant material have been grouped. To give height at the back, I have used Cornus stolonifera 'Flaviramea', which has lovely yellow-green stems. I have "bundled" the Narcissi together, and tied them with raffia, to form a block of colour. To the right of these, some Aucuba japonica 'Crotonifolia' leaves have been arranged upright. Yellow Statice limonium (syn. Limonium sinuatum) has been grouped together in three places to balance the colour. Other flowers used are yellow 'Connecticut King' Lilies, white Carnations, and white Dendranthema (syn. Chrysanthemum). Other foliage used is a blue conifer, Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Boulevard', some Taxus baccata (Yew) and large Hedera helix (Ivy) leaves. To add interest, I have included some bracket fungi, and some artificial Toadstools. |
