This arrangement is a horizontal design, which would be suitable for a table centre, or wedding top table design, or a window ledge, or a funeral tribute (known in the floristry trade as a double-ended funeral spray). It is made using a plastic rectangular container, with floral foam for the mechanics. The design should be no more than 9" tall at its highest point. I have defined the shape using foliage of Cotoneaster, Eucalyptus, and a visually stronger foliage of pink-tinged Cordyline. I have used six or seven stems of pink spray Carnations, five large pink Roses for the focal flowers, and five pink Gerberas as secondary flowers. Some lovely pink Symphoricarpus (Snowberry) berries add interest. I've used two stems of green "Rocky" spray Chrysanthemums for recession. Finally, a bow of lime-green organza ribbon has been added as a finishing touch. | |
