Here's a modern take on the traditional cup and saucer design. I've chosen a green and white colour scheme, and I've used a tall white cup with a matching saucer, and floral foam for the mechanics. The design is very simple. I've used some white sisal to cover the mechanics, then added two Ornithogalum flowers for the height, with three white Roses grouped further down in the design. Three Ivy leaves have been used on the left of the design, and on the right, I've bundled five Hedera "Ivalace" leaves together to form a rosette, and bound the stems with silver bullion wire. Three of these rosettes have been used, two at the side and one at the back. A closeup of these can be seen below. Finally, I've looped some Bear Grass (Xerophyllum tenax) through the design to give rhythm and interest. |
