This is a diagonal design, made in a black jewellery case with a lid. I've used a plastic saucer with floral foam for the mechanics. The shape was first defined with linear foliage, in this case Eucalyptus and Lonicera pileata. I then infilled with some Ivy leaves to help give depth and cover the floral foam. I also used some black leaves of Ophiopogon planiscapus nigrescens to bring the colour of the container through to the design. I then used some lovely acid green spray Carnations (variety unknown, unfortunately!) to further define the shape. Then I added the focal flowers, which were orange Lilies, and finally, some green spray Chrysanthemums to give recession to the design. |
