For this design I have used a basket decorated with a raffia bow, with a plastic dish and floral foam for the mechanics. For the height I've used some stems of yellow dogwood, Cornus stolonifera, and at the base of the design, some leaves of Hedera colchica variegata and Hedera colchica "Sulphur Heart", together with some fine-leaved Hebe grouped on the left. The flowers used have been grouped, and these are blue Dutch Iris (not quite out in the picture), yellow Tulips (streaked red), yellow Daffodils, and Skimmia japonica rubens. Some Reindeer Moss has also been grouped in the centre of the design to give added texture and interest. I have also looped a couple of the Iris leaves, so that they are showing the lovely silvery underside of the leaves, and this again gives added interest. |
