For this design, I have used a contemporary aluminium square dish, with floral foam for the mechanics. First, I added a collar of lime-green sisal around the floral foam, to add texture, and to help hide the foam. For the height, I have used two stems of Corylus avellana 'Contorta' (Contorted Hazel). I have grouped various foliages, these being Hedera colchica 'Sulphur Heart', Hedera hibernica, Fatsia japonica variegata, and in the centre, lovely deep red Cotinus coggygria 'Royal Purple'. The flowers used are pink roses, pink Hydrangea, deep cerise standard Carnations, and creamy-white Chrysanthemums. Finally, I have added some swirls of aluminium wire, to repeat the aluminium of the container. |
