I have used a blue glass dish for this design, with floral foam for the mechanics. This arrangement would be suitable for a low table, or a table centrepiece, where the design should be kept low so that diners can see each other without having to peer through the foliage! All the plant material has been grouped for effect. The foliage I have used is Fatsia japonica variegata, Hedera colchica "Sulphur Heart", xFatshedera lizei and Hedera helix "buttercup". The flowers used are yellow roses, cream Gerberas, cream standard Carnations, and to pick up the blue colour, a lovely metallic blue Eryngium. I have added three lime green candles, and also some deep blue glass chips, which have been stuck onto the foliage at intervals with floral fix and pick up the colour and texture of the glass dish. The picture shows the arangement viewed from above. |
