My favourite colour is purple, and all the tints and tones of it! So when one of my students bought me a large bunch of beautiful pale lavender sweet peas (Lathyrus odorata), I couldn't wait to make an arrangement with them. I have chosen to do an informal arrangement in a galvanized jug, with no mechanics, as the flowers are just in water. Apart from the sweet peas, I have used lilac Nepeta mussini 'Six Hills Giant', orange Gerberas, orange Roses, peach standard Carnations, and the lovely lime-green Alchemilla mollis.
