DESIGN 164

This is a design which uses two identical containers, and is linked together by colour, and plant materials. The containers are pale lavender ceramic, with floral foam for the mechanics. Both arrangements use the same types of plant materials. For the height, I have chosen some Corylus avellana 'Contorta' (Contorted Hazel) stems, and the foliage used is Hedera colchica 'Sulphur Heart' and Heuchera 'Plum Pudding'. The flowers used were lavender coloured Matthiola incana (Stocks), pink Roses, purple double Lissianthus (Eustoma), green Chrysanthemums and for the focal point, Clematis 'Vyvyan Pennel'. Clematis are lovely to use in flower arrangements, and last a very long time, even in floral foam. Finally, the two arrangements were physically linked together using looped Bear Grass (Xerophyllum tenax) at the front and back of the design.
