This arrangement is in a contemporary style. I have used a square galvanized metal container, with floral foam for the mechanics. I have covered the floral foam with lime-green sisal (this is the fibres from the Agave sisalana plant). I have added two stems of red Hippeastrum (Amaryllis) in the centre, to give height. At the base of the design, I have used 16 red roses, cut very short, which have been arranged randomly. In between these, but not in view in the picture, I have added some red glass beads to give added texture and accent. Finally, I have used some aluminium wire which has been wound around and through the design, and which repeats the colour of the container. No foliage has been used in this design. |
